Cambridge Energy has nailed their product. Fastest to install, lowest cost per kWh, energy efficient, moveable, reusable, completely circular… the list goes on… their solar cracks a whole stack of the industry’s biggest problems.
But, with so many brilliant product features, how do you sum up their unique value? It was complex. It was convoluted. Which made packaging it into a bold and compelling brand - worthy of their growing success and sky-high ambitions - something of a challenge.
We honed in on a different story: one not of complexity, but of simplicity.
Because what Cambridge Energy have actually managed to do, unlike their competitors, is see through the intricacy of the solar industry. They have the vision and nous to work out the complicated technicalities… so that their customers don’t have to.
This is solar, but simplified.
Move over, dusty textbooks. It takes a confident and visionary scientist to see such simplicity, and share it with the world.
After all, the groundbreaking discoveries are usually the simplest. E = mc2? No biggie.
After three lively workshops and countless conversations with stakeholders, we reimagined Cambridge Energy from the inside out. New name, new logo. Balancing technical expertise with the bigger picture. The head with the heart.
Visually, we chose elegant and simple geometric shapes that mirror the A-frame of the solar trackers. Verbally, we distilled it all down to what really matters, captivating customers with big ideas and backing it up with clear fact.
Overall, we combined the heritage of the Cambridge scientist with the innovation of the Energy visionary, looking ahead to a new dawn for solar technology.
